Lipolysis

In so-called lipolysis, excess body fat is melted away by injecting a special fat-dissolving substance, a natural soy lecithin, and returned to the metabolism. The procedure is mainly known under the colloquial term "fat-dissolving injection". Injection lipolysis has been used in Brazil for over 15 years with great success. In Europe and Germany, the treatment has also been established for several years. Numerous scientific studies have already proven the safety and effectiveness of this new form of treatment. The therapy belongs to the so-called minimally invasive methods, as it is able to correct and contour facial and body shapes aesthetically in an extremely gentle way.

What kind of medication is it anyway?

To dissolve the unwanted fat deposits, a substance called phosphatidylcholine is injected. This natural substance is extracted from soybeans. It causes the stored fat to dissolve into loose droplets that travel through the bloodstream to the liver where they are excreted. A "mobilisation of fat" occurs, as the lecithin can charge fatty acids and transport them out of the fatty tissue. The decomposed fat is then transported away via the body's own lymphatic system. This is therefore an enhancement of natural processes that also normally occur in the body. Studies have shown that the fat cells are permanently eliminated.

The fat-away injection therefore causes a permanent reduction of the fat tissue, comparable to the success of liposuction, but much more gently - in the circumscribed area. The injectable soy lecithin has been available worldwide for years for the treatment of various diseases.

When does lipolysis make sense?

Even many people of normal weight have their "problem zones", i.e. areas of the body where unsightly fat deposits form despite exercise and the right diet. Where sensible diet and exercise do not help, small to medium-sized fat deposits can be ideally eliminated or modelled by using the fat-away injection. The injection is not suitable for overall weight loss, i.e. to replace a diet.

The treatment is best suited for people of normal weight with problem areas.

The following body regions can be treated with the fat-away injection:

Trunk / extremities: "riding breeches" / inner and outer thighs, knees, buttocks, fat deposits on the waist, hips, abdomen, fat deposits on the shoulders and arm joints, upper arms, back areas as well as cellulite treatment on the thighs. Face: bags under the eyes, cheeks / "sagging cheeks", double chin As a rule, two to three treatments at intervals of 4 to 8 weeks are sufficient to achieve a good cosmetic result. The treatment is performed on an outpatient basis and usually does not affect the ability to work.
