Non-surgical Face Lift (Ultherapy)

Ultherapy® is an innovative form of non-invasive treatment that provides lasting relief from the signs of time on the face, neck and décolleté. Micro-focused, i.e. focused, ultrasound energy stimulates a repair mechanism of the collagen fibres in the skin, helping it to tighten and firm itself naturally.

The unique procedure uses the proven energy of ultrasound and provides controlled heat in depth. This treats the deep structures of each skin layer - including those typically reached in a surgical facelift - without damaging the surface of the skin.

How ultrasound lifting Works?

Unlike laser and radiofrequency therapy, which penetrate the skin from the outside in, Ultherapy® sends focused ultrasound pulses precisely into the deeper layers of the skin without damaging the skin's surface. The micro-focused energy of the ultrasound generates short-term heat in these layers and in this way stimulates the formation of new collagen and elastin. The connective tissue is thus strengthened and the skin tightened in a natural way.

Precise ultrasound treatment with patented technology

Ultherapy® can be compared to an ultrasound treatment that expectant mothers are also familiar with. A specially developed transducer is placed on the skin and projects an image onto a monitor. This patented "DeepSEE" technology enables the doctor to select the exact area of skin to be treated and to deliver the micro-focused sound impulses in a controlled and targeted manner. This makes the Ultherapy® procedure particularly effective and safe.  Using the same transducer, the ultrasound energy is focused precisely on small points and sent in a controlled manner through the surface of the skin into the deep subcutaneous layer, i.e. to where only a surgical facelift has been applied so far.

Do I need more than one treatment?

The majority of patients only require one treatment, but in some cases a follow-up treatment may be necessary (depending on how much laxity your skin has and your body's biological response to the ultrasound treatment).

Can Ultherapy® replace a facelift?

Ultherapy® is an "uplift" not a "face lift." Ultherapy is not the same as surgery, but has proven to be an effective alternative for those who are not yet ready for invasive treatment.

How long does an Ultherapy® treatment last?

A treatment lasts between 30 and 90 minutes, depending on the area to be treated.

How long do the results last?

Patients treated with Ultherapy® still have fresh young collagen a year after the procedure. However, the skin continues to age. Future touch-up treatments can help keep up with the ageing process, which is different for each individual.
